The Intersection Of Cannabis And Mindfulness (w/ Heather Dagley)

In April 2020, I sat down with Victor Ung to record an episode for his excellent podcast, Human Up

In this episode, Victor and I discuss my personal cannabis story and how cannabis helps us intentionally slow down and connect with our inner self and inner spirituality.

We also touch on how cannabis helped us both to step through professional burnout and convinced us to step into work that has proved to be more meaningful. We chat about the fact that cannabis helps us to dissolve ego in a meaningful way, allowing us to step into a deeper connection and compassion for our local community. Cannabis helps us to see through the barriers that divide us and forge new friendships.

Victor and I also focused this conversation on what it means to mindfully consume cannabis. I speak to the fact that throughout intentional use, I advocate that folks continually audit why they consume. Is it helping to fill the initial gap you set out to solve? Is it helping you to feel better? Cannabis is a medicine, and so we should treat it with the respect and intention that we apply to other medicines in our life.

I’m super grateful to have been a guest on Victor's show. Victor's work, on his podcast and blog, provides a lot of insight on how we can collectively use emotional intelligence and plant medicine to heal this society. He's awesome and I can't wait to continue to follow his work and career. Follow Victor on Instagram @_victorung or follow his blog at https://victorung.com/
